Russian support spindle made of pear wood – hand-turned

Starting at €39.90

This Russian spinning wheel, crafted from fine pear wood, is a finely balanced tool for anyone who appreciates spinning as a peaceful, meditative craft.
Its slender shape, light weight of approximately 26 g, and stainless steel spindle tip (316L) ensure a particularly long, smooth spin —ideal for fine to medium-fine yarns.

I handcraft each spindle myself on a lathe in Upper Austria. Pear wood is dense, pleasantly warm, and feels wonderful in the hand. Its calm, elegant grain makes each spindle one of a kind.

Optionally, you can add a matching pear wood spindle cup. The two pieces are designed to fit together perfectly, ensuring that the spindle runs smoothly in the cup and spins quietly for a long time—perfect for relaxed spinning while sitting or on the sofa.

Whether you’re an experienced spinner or a knitting enthusiast just starting to spin your own yarn:
This tool will be your companion for many years to come and turns every moment of spinning into a little ritual.
